The mission of the Young Adult Ministries of South Highland Presbyterian Church is to forge intimate Christian relationships, grow spiritually and to nurture community through mission, learning, fellowship and fun.
B.R.I.C.K.@NITE - B.R.I.C.K. – For over 10 years, young adults at South Highland have been “Building Relationships in Christ’s Kingdom.” During the fall we explore the meaning and significance of relationships. We will talk about relationships with family, the meaning & purpose of marriage, the single life, friendship & our relationships with bosses and coworkers. This class is currently on hiatus but typically meets Sunday evenings at 6:30 in G-22. The best way to keep in touch is to “friend” our Facebook page - B.R.I.C.K. at SHPC - or email Jessica Wolford at Just2brunning@aol.com.
Wild at Heart Men's Study Breakfast - The Wild at Heart Group is comprised of men from their 30s to 80s. We study various books in the Old and New Testament plus books that address some particular concerns in our lives. Currently, we are studying The Meaning of Marriage by the Rev. Timothy Keller, a prolific and profound Presbyterian Pastor and author. Like all of Keller’s books, it is scripturally-based. While it sounds focused for couples, it also addresses many issues for singles. We meet on Friday mornings at DiVinici’s Restaurant in Homewood at 6:30am for discussion over breakfast. We wrap up by 7:45. All are welcome!
Campus Ministry - UAB Campus Ministry (Westminster Campus Fellowship) The focus of our ministry is to build relationships with international graduate students in non-medical degree programs. Would you be willing to host a dinner in your home for a group of students and people involved in the ministry? Would you like to attend one of the social outings to “tourist spots”? Would you be willing to intentionally pray for this ministry? Please contact Rev. Jim Truesdell.
For more information on any of these groups or activities, contact Rev. Dr. Jim Truesdell at (205) 933-0790 or email him at email@example.com.
