Celebrating Sharing Together

Celebrating Sharing Together is the theme of the 2020 Stewardship season. These days perhaps even more than other days, we need to remind ourselves that we are connected family at SHPC. Connected to each other, to the community and to the world missions that SHPC supports. Hand in hand. Heart to heart. At our center is Christ and as a united band of believers we serve, we celebrate and we share.

It may feel challenging sharing celebrations in these trying times. Yet those events worthy of celebration are there. The words of a member or a kindness extended to someone in need deserves celebration. The moments that the holy spirit touched us during worship or gave us strength and the ability to do tasks we never thought we could do, deserve celebration!

The ministries of SHPC deserve celebration and in this season you will hear what members are celebrating that filled them with the passion of Christ and how the ministries have changed lives. We also want this to be a time when you can share how God has touched you and how you have seen the Lord’s hand at work in others’ lives.

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found. Luke 15:32. In the story of the prodigal son, the father rejoiced and celebrated when his lost son returned. We too can celebrate and rejoice together in how the Lord has worked through the members and ministries of SHPC. It is in our holding hands together doing the celebration and sharing that we become fully alive with the passion of Christ.

With gratitude and celebration,
