Get together with the SHPC community for TAKE ME OUT TO THE CIRCLE Wednesday, July 20 from 5:30-7:00pm. This will be a fun, sports-themed event on the front lawn of the church with food, fellowship and fun for all ages. Enjoy a tailgate-style supper of grilled hot dogs, slaw cup, fruit cup, chips, cookies and drink. Reserve your box supper by Monday, July 18 – email Joe Whitley or call 205-933-0790, Ext 125. Bring your camp chair or a blanket. A few tables will be provided for those who need them.
SPECIAL GUESTS will include Birmingham Barons mascot Babe Ruff, along with members of the Barons management staff. There will also be a photo booth, free popcorn and a free ticket for a cool treat from a popsicle truck! We will cheer on our own South Highland Softball Team! Wear your favorite team’s cap or jersey or uniform!
As a community outreach, we will be collecting gently used, reasonably clean sports equipment (no shoes or cleats please) from July 20-31. It will be donated to areas of need throughout the Birmingham area. Bring items on July 20 or later to the reception area.
