The Songs of Christmas – Join us Sundays and Christmas Eve for our Advent sermon series focusing on the “songs” in scripture which point the way to Jesus Christ. We’ll hear from Isaiah, Zechariah, Mary, the angels in the field, and Simeon.

Samford String Quartet – South Highland’s Advent concert tradition returns to the beautiful SHPC chapel for one special event on Wednesday, December 10. Founded in 2011, this fine ensemble has made several concert appearances during the Advent season at SHPC, performing a program of music from the classical and secular repertoire. The free concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and is preceded by family supper in Davis Family Hall starting at 5:30 ($10 adults, $5 children under 12, $25 family max). Reserve your dinner here.

Christmas Together – South Highland’s family Christmas tradition continues Sunday, December 14 at 4:30 p.m. with a brand new children’s Christmas pageant directed by children’s music director Casey Blighton. We’ll also receive this year’s Christmas Joy Offering and enjoy a delicious South Highland potluck supper. Bring the whole family!

Nine Lessons and Carols – Sunday worship on December 21 will be one service only in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m., as the Chancel Choir brings a selection of beautiful Christmas anthems alongside favorite congregational carols. Come and hear the story of Christ’s coming starting in the Old Testament prophecies and culminating on that holy night in Bethlehem.

Christmas Eve at South Highland – Come and worship the newborn king in a beautiful service surrounded by the greenery of the season and the glow of candlelight, with the celebration of Holy Communion. Family service is at 4:00 p.m. with traditional worship at 6:00 p.m. (the 6 p.m. service will be live streamed).
