Wednesdays at SHPC offer opportunities for the body of Christ to gather for food, fellowship, interesting programs and quiet worship. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. in Davis Family Hall, followed by the evening’s program. Childcare is available for Wednesday activities. Be sure to check out the Calendar of Events for specifics.
Wednesday Vespers occurs on the first Wednesday of the month. Join us for an engaging worship service with music, communion and a brief homily. Wednesday Vespers this fall are on September 7, October 5, November 2 and November 30.
Wednesday Night Live happens on the third Wednesday each month, with programs ranging from ministry updates and missionary speakers to community organizations and music performances.

- January 25 – King’s Letter at 60 Dr. Martin Luther King’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” turns 60 this year. Dr. Ed Hurley will lead a discussion about this seminal document from the Civil Rights movement. - February 1 – Mayor Randall Woodfin Birmingham’s second-term mayor will stop by SHPC and chat with us about what’s happening in this city where we minister with the passion of Christ.
- February 8 – Ministry Inside Kyiv The Outreach Foundation will bring Rev. Ivan Rusyn to South Highland for an info session on his ministry inside Kyiv, Ukraine. Rev. Rusyn is President of the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary in Kyiv and pastors a church plant there. Reservations Required – click here for more info.
