For those experiencing grief, there is a hope that gives us an anchor to begin to understand and even be transformed by our experience. Part of our church’s outreach to “the least of these” in our community, in particular our unhoused neighbors. Folks who need a place to bathe and some caring people to converse with come to the circle drive on Saturday mornings. This ministry addresses a need that has not previously been met in the Southside area. Volunteers are needed to continue this neighborhood service. Join us for a special evening of worship through music as the Chancel Choir, under the direction of Kenny Lewis, presents the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary, preceded by supper at 5:00 in Davis Family Hall.

Jesus ascends Golgotha carrying the Cross. The veil of the temple is torn from top to bottom. Join us for worship in the Sanctuary, followed by a light lunch in Davis Family Hall.

“He is risen! He is risen, indeed!” Easter Sunday sees the Sanctuary beautifully adorned with fine flowers and includes some of our most favorite hymns and celebratory music, including the “Hallelujah” chorus, as Christ’s resurrectionis celebrated.

We’ll gather in the beautiful South Highland Courtyard for a time of peaceful celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Morning Circle 2 meet on second Mondays in person at the church and on Zoom. Coffee and light refreshments available at 10:00 a.m. in Room G-17, with the lesson starting promptly at 10:30. Questions? Email Carolyn Ashworth.

Morning Circle 1 meets at 10:30 a.m. on second Mondays in the Overlook Café Meeting Room at Kirkwood-by-the-River, 3605 Ratliff Road (get directions here). Contact the leaders: Pam Buck or Marty Keller.

Esther Circle meets on the second Monday evenings at 5:30pm in individual homes. Dinner is served, but optional. Please contact Lu Mahon, leader, or lesson leader Kathy Tracey for individual monthly meeting places.
