Part of our church’s outreach to “the least of these” in our community, in particular our unhoused neighbors. Folks who need a place to bathe and some caring people to converse with come to the circle drive on Saturday mornings. This ministry addresses a need that has not previously been met in the Southside area. Volunteers are needed to continue this neighborhood service. SHPC’s weekly ministry to those who need a little help with groceries. Folks drop by the circle drive entrance and receive a warm greeting and a bag of nutritious food to prepare. Participants can receive food every two weeks. To learn more and volunteer, contact Kelly Troiano.

Emily and Dallas are expecting their first baby boy in March. Emily says, “We are receiving lots of wonderful hand-me-downs so if you think we’re missing something that seems essential, don’t worry! We are also OVERFLOWING with clothes, so besides what is on our registry we are likely set on clothes! We are so grateful!” Here is their registry, or diapers and baby wipes are always needed!

Morning Circle 1 meets at 10:30 a.m. on second Mondays in the Overlook Café Meeting Room at Kirkwood-by-the-River, 3605 Ratliff Road (get directions here). Contact the leaders: Pam Buck or Marty Keller.

For those experiencing grief, there is a hope that gives us an anchor to begin to understand and even be transformed by our experience. A new 6-week grief support group will begin meeting on Wednesday, February 25 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Led by Rev.
