Please be in prayer for Larry and Kathryn Michael as they journey once again to Poland in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are traveling this week with a team from The Outreach Foundation to Gdansk, Poland to lead a marriage retreat, sponsored by The Novus Foundation, their Polish Partners. “Recovering Sabbath Rest in Marriage,” the theme of the retreat, seeks to give clergy and teaching couples the opportunity to embrace rest as an essential part of a healthy, Christ-centered marriage. These ministry partners have been working with Ukrainian refugees for three years and the work has been nonstop and challenging. The Novus Foundation also operates an accredited program to train Christian counselors who will help Ukrainians recover from the trauma and disruption of the war. Our Sunday School class, Making a Home for Faith, has committed to provide scholarships and prayer support for two students for three years, and Stacye Thompson is currently giving her time to teach in the program. Larry and Polly Edwards will teach next semester. We are honored and blessed to be included in this amazing ministry, and ask that you pray diligently for all of the participants, that they will be challenged and receive the respite they seek from the rigors of ministry in which they are engaged.
